Support Jack as he lifts 100,000kg for animals🏋️‍♂️

Hey all, I'm Jack and this September I’m taking on a challenge that’s both physically demanding and deeply meaningful to me. Over 30 days, I’ll be lifting a total of 100,000 kilograms. I see We The Free's fundraising challenge as a great opportunity to raise money for animals as well as demonstrate how being vegan doesn't have to impact your fitness or strength.

I wanted to do something that would challenge me both physically and mentally, but also contribute to something bigger than myself. Although I’m mainly known as a climber, I also lift weights, and this felt like the perfect way to turn that passion into impact for those who desperately need us.

For me, this is an opportunity to show what the scientific consensus already tells us... that being vegan doesn’t mean being weak or limited in what you can physically achieve. On the contrary, veganism represents compassion and kindness to the most innocent and vulnerable on our planet and true strength is protecting those who are most at our mercy.

Veganism and animal rights are central to who I am, because exploiting sentient beings is simply wrong. Supporting this cause helps We The Free continue their powerful outreach, helping more people see just how prevalent animal exploitation really is in our society is the first step to a more just world.

My goal is to raise $1,000, which will be tripled thanks to two generous donors, meaning a total of $3,000 going toward animal advocacy around the world. Two thirds of all that I can will directly support the WTF Portsmouth team, which I organise. The funds will help us run impactful outreach events and connect with the public in meaningful way.

Personally, I see this challenge as a chance to grow, to test myself, to stay consistent, and to see how I change both physically and mentally through the process. I will also be taking some before and after photos to track the journey.
