Donations to WTF: Scotland Solidarity Weekend 2026
SOLIDARITY DAY SCOTLAND IS BACK!! 🏴
This year, We The Free Scotland is bringing our community together for two special events taking place on the 1st and 2nd August 2026.
In Edinburgh, we'll be hosting Connection Day, a relaxed social gathering designed to bring local vegans together through games, sport, food and friendship.
Meanwhile, in Glasgow, activists will gather for Solidarity Day. Where we will be joining outreach teams around the world in giving our voice to animals who desperately need us.
One strengthens our community. The other focuses on reaching the public with the important message of animal liberation. Together, they help build a stronger movement for animals.
🌿 Connection Day Edinburgh
📅 1st August 2026
🕦 11:30am – Meet Up
📍The Meadows, Edinburgh
⚾ 12:00pm–1:00pm – Rounders
🥪 1:00pm–2:00pm – Picnic
Bring your own lunch and/or food to share.
🎾 2:00pm–3:00pm – Tennis

• Total court cost: £72 (£12 per court)
🎲 3:00pm–4:00pm – Games Hour
Bring a game if you have one—Blood on the clock tower, UNO, Codenames, Dobble, cards, frisbees, footballs, sketchbooks, colouring supplies, or anything else you'd like to share. There will also be space for people to suggest their own activities.
💚 4:00pm–4:30pm – Closing Circle & Group Photo
We'll finish the day by sharing highlights, celebrating the connections we've made, and taking a group photo before heading home.
The Vibe
There is absolutely no pressure to take part in every activity.
Whether you enjoy rounders, tennis, board games, chatting over a picnic, or simply relaxing in the sunshine, there is no right way to participate.
Connection Day is simply an opportunity to spend time with fellow vegans, meet new people, strengthen friendships, and enjoy a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
We're manifesting sunshine—but if the weather has other plans, we have an indoor badminton backup option at Meadowbank. 🙏
✊ Solidarity Day Glasgow
📅 2nd August 2026
🕧 12:30pm – 5:30pm
📍 Outside Superdry, Argyle Street, Glasgow
Every year, We The Free activists around the world unite for one global outreach event: Solidarity Day.
This year, activists from across Scotland will gather in Glasgow, bringing together outreachers, supporters, and members of the public for an afternoon of meaningful conversations about animals and veganism.
We're expecting around 25 activists and supporters throughout the afternoon, creating a welcoming and visible presence for animals in the heart of Glasgow.
💚 Why We're Fundraising
We're raising funds to help make both events as enjoyable, welcoming and impactful as possible.
For Solidarity Day Glasgow, donations will help provide:
• Prize giveaways for outreach activities (around 200 prizes, costing approximately £90)
• Outreach materials and event resources
• Creating a welcoming and engaging public presence for animals
For Connection Day Edinburgh, donations will help cover:
• Tennis court hire (£72)
• Shared equipment and activity costs
• Helping create an enjoyable and inclusive social event for our community
Together, these events strengthen our movement by supporting both public outreach and community connection.
🎁 Suggested Donation
We are suggesting a voluntary donation of £3 per person for anyone attending either event.
Of course, any contribution—whether £3, £10, £20, or more—is hugely appreciated.
Every donation helps make these events possible.
Every Contribution Makes a Difference
Your support helps us:
• Inspire more conversations about animal rights and veganism
• Build stronger friendships within Scotland's vegan community
• Create welcoming, inclusive events for new and existing activists
• Support practical event costs that make these gatherings possible
Whether you're joining us in Glasgow, Edinburgh, both events, or simply supporting from afar, your generosity helps strengthen our community and our advocacy for animals.
🙌 Thank You
These events are only possible because of the generosity, kindness and commitment of people who believe in creating a better future for animals.
Thank you for helping us bring people together and inspire meaningful conversations.
Together, we stand in solidarity for the animals and for one another. 💚
