Seattle’s Animal Rights Movement Is Growing- And We Want You to Join Us

Seattle has a thriving vegan community, and We The Free (WTF) Seattle is working to make animal advocacy accessible to everyone.

We’re a group of everyday people who volunteer our time because we believe animals deserve better. By combining the passion of our local community with WTF’s animal-focused education, outreach experience, and data-driven tools, we’re improving the way we connect with people and create meaningful conversations about animals.

Right now, we have a small but dedicated team of organisers and volunteers. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we’re ready to grow and we need your support to make that happen.

Our Work

Our main campaign is the 3 Minute Movie Challenge, where we invite people in the centre of Seattle to watch a powerful three-minute video about our relationship with animals. In exchange, we offer them a free plant-based snack.

But the video is only the start.

Afterwards, our outreach volunteers have open and respectful conversations with people about their values, their connection with animals, and the choices they make. These conversations are where real change begins.

This year, we hope to speak with thousands of people across Seattle. Every conversation is an opportunity to challenge assumptions, and encourage people to take steps towards veganism.

To make this possible, we need funding for outreach materials, equipment, volunteer support, and community events that help activists connect and avoid burnout.
