Birmingham is a fantastic city, contemporary, forward-thinking, and full of open-minded people and that’s why it’s so important that animals have a strong voice in our city.

The We The Free Birmingham team was founded in September 2025, but many of us have been a tight-knit family of activists for 7–8 years. We don’t just see ourselves as friends, we see ourselves as a vegan family who came together for the animals.

I'm Arron, organiser of WTF Birmingham. I’ve been vegan for a little over 10 years and an activist for eight of those. I first took action out of anger and heartbreak at that atrocities inflicted on animals. Though today, I use my voice and actions to help others understand and make a positive change.

✊ What We Do

We The Free tackles the root cause of animal exploitation: the social conditioning that makes the emotions, individuality, and suffering of non-human animals invisible.
Through powerful visuals, meaningful street outreach, and honest, respectful conversations, we help the public reconnect with their values and recognise animals as individuals who deserve justice.

WTF Birmingham runs high-impact outreach events built on the creativity, cheerfulness, and resolve of our volunteers. Unfortunately, like much of the animal rights movement, we are critically underfunded. Most of our work has been self-funded by activists, but our ambitions are growing. We want more events, better equipment, and a wider because that is what the animals need.

To achieve this, we need your support.
