Cloe has always been an animal lover. At 15, she read an autobiography by the Brazilian animal rights activist Luisa Mell and was inspired to go vegan. From there, she knew she wanted to speak up for animals and share what she'd learned with others. There were no animal rights groups in her city and she didn't know any other vegans, so she turned to social media to tell the animals' stories. That's how her Instagram account, @vegan_activism, came to be: a space where she spills the beans on animal exploitation through pretty designs and a lot of research.
As she was finishing her Bachelor's in Science, Natural Resources Conservation at the University of British Columbia, Cloe found We The Free and got the chance to start building a career around the issue she'd already spent years working on. She now uses her experience creating animal rights content on social media to boost the impact of We The Free and help as many animals as possible.

First, meeting people where they're at: the organization nails the delicate balance between sharing hard truths and doing it in a way that draws people in instead of pushing them away.
