Mario has been a vegan and animal rights activist since 2018. His commitment to justice for animals led him to leave his career in teaching and fully transition into volunteering and working in the nonprofit sector. Over the past 10 years, he has supported various nonprofit organizations contributing to social and animal justice initiatives.
He holds a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Production and Communication and works freelance in audiovisual media. Specializing in filming, video production, and podcast creation, he is also currently developing an animal rights documentary. Mario joined the We The Free team, bringing his experience in nonprofit work and audiovisual communications to strengthen outreach and media efforts.
Outside of activism, he enjoys music production, tree planting, pigeon befriending, and basketball. He shares his life with two rescued dogs, Ginno and Ruby. You can find him on Instagram @scaveganger, where he creates content focused on veganism and animal rights activism.

I was first drawn to WeTheFree because they use video—like the 3-Minute Movie Challenge—as an integral part of their activism, which inspired me as a video editor to contribute my skills for the animals. What keeps me here, though, is the incredibly supportive team and the genuine community we share outside of outreach.
