Biography
Anni has always wanted to spend her time with animals. She studied animal care in Finland and experienced working on farms and in zoos, she used to believe these roles reflected her love for animals - until one documentary changed everything. Cowspiracy, where Dr. Michael Klaper described milk as “baby calf growth fluid,” opened her eyes to the realities behind animal agriculture.
Since then Anni has spent the last decade as a vegan and passionate animal rights advocate, dedicating the last seven years to full-time activism for animals. Her work with the Animal Save Movement took her across Europe and Asia, where she worked alongside local groups to spark grassroots activism through vigils, outreach, and disruptive events.
Currently Anni is working on an international project aimed at creating significant change for animals together with her partner David. She brings frontline experience, grassroots skills, and deep passion to her work, believing compassion and solidarity are essential to building a united movement for animal liberation.

I feel incredibly privileged to be part of We The Free.
Having witnessed this organisation’s journey from the very beginning, it’s an honour to now serve as a board member. What I love most about We The Free is its strong focus not just on animal liberation, but also on building a strong, compassionate, and supportive activist community.
There’s a genuine commitment to prioritising the mental health and wellbeing of activists, which is extremely important in a movement built on empathy and care, and in the darkness we face. We The Free is a constantly evolving and dynamic organisation, always seeking more creative and effective ways to fight for the freedom of our animal friends.
