Regional Support Lead (Global Support Team)

We have the following vacancies available:

  1. North America - 20 hours per week

  2. Asia - 1 x 10 hours per week

  3. South America - 8 hours per week

Role Type: Contractor

Pay: Negotiable depending on need

Location: Remote (but should be primarily based in one of the above regions)

Role Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced local organizer to take on additional responsibilities at a regional level. The RSL will head up the regional support team and act as a liaison between local organizers and the global support team. Each RSL will be responsible for understanding the specific challenges for each group in their region, providing guidance from their own experience, and working with the Global Support Team to provide the highest level of support.

Key Responsibilities:

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference for animals and their advocates by helping us build resilient communities and a large network of skilled and well-supported volunteers.

  • Set, plan, and implement regular organizer meetings

  • Coordinate with other teams and the global support team

  • Help with interviewing and inducting new team members

  • Dissemination of organizational updates and initiatives to the wider team

  • Build relationships with volunteers, organizers, and other organizations

  • Help implement new teams

  • Launch events as requested by organizers

  • Promote compliance with policies and procedures

  • Coordinate training attendance for organizers and volunteers

  • Receive complaints and filter to the HR department in line with policy

  • Act as an ambassador for WTF

  • Exemplify the values and mission of WTF

Skill Profile:

  • Significant experience as a street activism organizer

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Hands-on experience with social media management

  • Attention to detail, critical-thinker, and problem-solver

  • Willing and able to implement our strategy to avoid engaging in highly controversial topics

Preferable:

  • Leadership & management experience or training

  • Conflict resolution experience or training
